This plant prefers sandy, well-drained soil that stays moist at all times. Therefore, it is important to water the rows before sowing your seeds and water regularly. You can start sowing as soon as the soil can be used until the end of July. Just make sure the temperature does not exceed 20°C since the seeds grow badly in high temperatures. Gradually harvest leaves or whole heads as they grow, to avoid that it gets too crowded in the soil.
