The Sugarsnax carrots are high in beta carotene, an antioxidant and important source of provitamin A. The carrots thrive in stone-free, humus-rich and well-drained soil. The roots grow up to 22-25 cm long, and are dark orange and slender.

Sow the seeds as soon as the soil has defrosted and can be used. To keep the seeds moist, water the soil before sowing. Also, cover the seeds with a fibre cloth. This way you will keep insects away and the seeds will sprout faster. Water the plants in dry periods and make sure to remove weed so the carrots get enough space to grow on. Since they are not able to overwinter in the cold, harvest as soon as they grow big enough - sprouting time is about 2-4 weeks.,
